Canceling Your Booking

Far in advance of your intelli.tours Academic journey to Oaxaca we make many non-refundable payments on your behalf to airlines, hotels, restaurants, tourist venues, and numerous services and vendors.

With this in mind, your intelli.tours Academic journey is governed by the following cancellation policies:

General Cancellation Procedures

The following cancellation procedures apply when any journey is canceled:

  • Cancellation notices will only be accepted by email to: cancellations@intelli.tours
  • Cancellation notices must come from the person who booked and paid for the journey.
  • The official cancellation time and date is the time and date that we receive the cancellation notice by email.
  • Cancellation refunds will be made only to the person who paid for the booking.
  • Your cancellation terms are those that you agree to at the time of your initial booking and payment of the initial deposit for your tour and as printed on your invoice and as outlined in the Booking Terms & Conditions.
  • All payments must be received on time in order to qualify for refunds per our Standard Cancellation Policy.
  • Approved refunds are issued by check within 30 business days of our receipt and approval of your cancellation notice.

72-Hour Cancellation With Full Refund

You may cancel your intelli.tours Academic journey for a full refund within 72 hours following your initial payment – with deposit or full payment.

To cancel within this 72-hour grace period for a full refund forward your initial booking confirmation email to cancellations@intelli.tours within 72 hours of your intial booking.

Please see the General Cancellation Procedures in the section above for specific details on how to cancel your booking and request a refund.

Standard Cancellation Policy

  • 150 days or more prior to departure:
    Refund of any payments less the $200 non-refundable deposit.
  • 149 days before departure until the day before the final payment date for your Journey:
    Refund of any payments less the $200 non-refundable deposit, plus a $200 cancellation fee.
  • As of the Final payment date of your journey until departure:
    No refund. (A $500 cancellation fee will be charged if no payment of at least $500 has been paid on the account. Cancellation fee will not exceed $500 between payments made and any additional charge.)

Refunds under the Standard Cancellation Policy will be issued by check within 30 business days of the receipt of the approved cancellation request in the name of the person who paid for the initial booking.

* Cancellation fees will be deducted from any amount paid and credited to your account. In the case that no payments have been made other than the $200 deposit, the stated cancellation fee will be charged to the card used to pay the initial deposit or the most recent payment.

Cancellation By Us

We reserve the right to cancel any journey because of inadequate enrollment that makes the journey economically infeasible to operate or because of our concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of our travelers or staff or for any other reason that in our sole discretion, necessitates cancellation.

Should we cancel your journey per the reasons cited above, we shall have no liability beyond the prompt refund of all your payments received by us, and we shall not be liable for any other costs, damages, or refunds of any kind for any loss, delay, inconvenience, disappointment, or expense whatsoever. 

Important Note:

In the event that your journey is canceled as a result of or following: acts of force majeure, including, without limitation, acts of God, war (declared or not), terrorism, or civil unrest, or in the event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, or cessation of business, our Standard Cancellation Policy will apply.
